Learn More about Tom HickeyMy employer failed to wake two months short of his one hundred and first birthday. I came to believe that even at one hundred life is still way too brief. Intimate living with the aged and aging has made a profound impact. I witnessed many truths about life. Celebrating each day and bringing richness to that sunrise have become my credo.
I installed quite a nice kitchen in our downsize Mount Holly rancher. Daily, I continued to create the cuisine I served for over a decade at that stately address. Of course I have a beautiful garden. Much of the culinary inspiration comes from the garden. It is my third plot. It has more practical focus on edibles than our Burlington home. The koi ponds, water lilies and rose gardens are memories as are my two lovely daughters giggling on the slip and slide.
Those lovely daughters left and have their own homes. I was lucky to convince my grateful bride to move to our present address. I invite you to share at my table and taste the garden bounty. Sit on the patio and take in the small slice of nature of which I’ve been blessed to care for.
